Mineral wool is a high quality resin bonded core material. Mineral wool panels offer a significant contribution towards improved fire safety.

If exposed to fire, Mineral wool panels will not release dense smoke and will withstand temperatures in excess of 1000°C. It is a food safe fire stop panel as well as CFC and HCFC free. Mineral wool panels will meet the fire resistance requirements for compartmentation given in the LPC Design Guide for fire protection of buildings. Fire Class A1, according to EN 13 501 Non-combustible – tested to SANS 10177-5. Mineral wool panels is mainly used for data centres and generator rooms due to its excellent fire resistance and acoustic properties. It achieved a 120 Min (2-Hour) Fire rating in accordance with SANS 10177-2.
